Sunday the 25th saw the season opener for the SRS regional series in the UK. The venue was Clanfield in the south of the UK with a full entry of both buggy & truggy.
Team XRAY represented by Reece Sawyer & Bren Ralls with team XRAY/Rcdisco Ben Kennett, Brian Mcginty, Ricky Burnett & Steve Bisco. Oher Manufacturers had Boots, Jackson, Craddock, Brunsden, Chung, Racey to name a few making it a competitive day.

Light rain at the beginning of the day helped the track to groove & polish up later on, any dust that formed got blown away by the wind so conditions where near spot on.

Rnd 1 got under way & Reece went 5th with a couple of mistakes learning the track, Bren 4th with a clean run & very close to the top spot in time. The top 6 covered only by a few seconds so very close.
Rnd 2 another clean run for Bren altough an engine problem slowed him towards the end & 4th in rnd. Reece faster overal in pace but lady luck not with him yet & again 5th but both garanteed an A main place now.

Rnd 3 Bren pulled off with a problem but Reece got it all together going 2nd in rnd & 100ths of the top spot well done bud.

The A main would see Reece & Bren plus clubman John Wolfe fight the cause for XRAY. John had a good race in a competitive field to finish 12th, Bren & Reece got away clean at the front holding station well. Bren mid way through made a few mistakes & was unable to hang onto the front couple but came home 5th. Reece battled right through to the end to finish a well deserved 2nd.
